This research addresses the importance of medicinal plants as a fundamental part of ancestral knowledge, integrating it into education through a learning project. Regarding medicinal plants, the contributions of Julio Mantilla, Grimaldo Rengifo, and the book Qora are considered, highlighting that these plants not only possess healing properties but also form part of the life and worldview of the communities. In the Andean world, plants are considered living beings with a soul, family, and gender, so their medicinal use implies respect and responsible practices. Regarding ancestral knowledge, the contributions of Rengifo, the World Health Organization (WHO), and David Ausubel's theory of meaningful learning are taken into account. These approaches highlight the value of traditional knowledge as part of cultural identity and emphasize the importance of incorporating it into the educational process, fostering meaningful learning linked to students' experiences and contexts. Finally, the learning project is based on the contributions of the Ministry of Education of Peru, John Dewey and Cárdenas Salceda, who maintain that this pedagogical strategy promotes the active participation of children, allowing them to explore, ask questions and seek solutions to problems of interest to them, generating meaningful learning inside and outside the classroom.

This research paper is organized into three thematic chapters. Chapter I, entitled Motivation for Reading at the Early Childhood Education, considers the contributions of the Ministry of Education, Emilia López, Ramírez y de Castro, Ryan and Deci, who explain that the reading process in early childhood is built from meaningful experiences mediated by adults and linked to the sociocultural context. From these perspectives, we understand that when reading takes place under such conditions, interest, participation, and comprehension emerge, thus building motivation for reading. Chapter II, which addresses pedagogical resources, analyzes the contributions of the Ministry of Education (MINEDU), García-Alcívar et al., UNESCO, and Chambers, who maintain that resources acquire value when they respond to a pedagogical intention, cultural relevance, and conscious teacher mediation. Finally, Chapter III addresses local stories and kamishibai as intercultural pedagogical resources. Drawing on the work of Bruner, Benjamin, Rengifo, Aldama Jiménez, Cid Lucas, and Pepe Cabana, it recognizes that their integration strengthens cultural identity and fosters meaningful reading experiences. In this context, we understand that reading motivation arises from contextualized pedagogical approaches that integrate cultural identity, teacher mediation, and relevant resources.

Oral expression in Early Childhood Education, as a fundamental linguistic competence, introduces students to the distinction between the development of human language and that of animals. However, in both urban and rural contexts, which legitimize the continuity and practices of Quechua language and culture, there are perceived gaps in learning experiences to address the basic skills outlined in the curriculum design program, such as non-verbal and paraverbal language; coherent and cohesive expression of ideas, among others. In this regard, the representation of the roles and characteristics of Andean animals, using onomatopoeic sounds, provides a pathway for the teacher in the classroom to guide the development of the proposed competence through didactic workshops. For this reason, the relevance of this documented review lies in allowing us to position how the prominence of animals—since their appearance and coexistence in herding and agricultural activities up to the present day—has enriched the Andean worldview, as well as oral tradition narratives; knowledge and cultural practices such as señas y secretos; texts on the subject by the author José María Arguedas; and the imitation of onomatopoeic sounds. In this way, the approaches studied by the authors and the selected thematic axes have enabled us to understand and reflect on the sense of cultural relevance to emphasize the levels of language acquisition; that is, the phonological, lexical, semantic, syntactic, etymological, and discursive levels.

This documented review focuses on the study of ancestral knowledge about the interweaving of Andean textiles. It constitutes a contribution that will continue the transmission of knowledge and principles of the Andean worldview, which, in our territory, is an activity that has remained alive for centuries. The origin, the practice of techniques, the skills of men and women, and functionality, etc., are unavoidable features of both the social and cultural experience, as well as the social and political organization, which instituted experiences of reciprocity between the State of the ancient Tawantinsuyu and its inhabitants. Thus, the relevance of these actions is close to those that converge in the perspectives of educational processes, that is, with teaching strategies for children in Early Childhood Education. Therefore, this document examines the theoretical foundations regarding topics that allow for closer ties between the cultural identity matrix and pedagogical strategies in the Early Childhood Level in the area of psychomotor skills. In this sense, the weaving activity offers the potential to reconsider aspects of the perceptions and sensoriality of young children. Hence the importance of incorporating this knowledge into curriculum development at the Early Childhood Level.
