La Ortiga: Planta Medicinal para Visibilizar los Saberes Ancestrales en la Educación Primaria

Abstract

Resumen La presente investigación, titulada “La ortiga: planta medicinal para visibilizar los saberes ancestrales en la educación primaria”, revisa la ortiga como planta medicinal y su incorporación en el proceso educativo de niñas y niños. Parte de la constatación de que en instituciones rurales y urbanas no se enseña desde el contexto y cultura de los estudiantes. Nuestra motivación es visibilizar los saberes comunitarios, integrándolos como estrategia pedagógica. La educación intercultural debe incluir conocimientos ancestrales, contribuyendo al desarrollo de actitudes y habilidades hacia su reconocimiento y valoración. En las comunidades existen prácticas y saberes que permanecen en la memoria de los abuelos, pero cuya transmisión a nuevas generaciones se va perdiendo. En la escuela, la ausencia de reflexión sobre estos conocimientos contribuye a su desvalorización, amenazando su continuidad como fuente de buen vivir. La sabiduría ancestral pasa desapercibida porque los docentes no interactúan en lengua materna ni promueven la reflexión, aun tratándose de un centro rural. El conocimiento sobre el valor medicinal de la ortiga representa uno de esos saberes en riesgo. Por ello, esta investigación propone una revisión bibliográfica que permita visibilizar y revalorizar los saberes ancestrales en la educación.

Abstract The present research, entitled "Nettle: medicinal plant to make ancestral knowledge visible in primary education", contains a bibliographic review on nettle as a medicinal plant and its incorporation in the education of primary school girls and boys. In our communities in the region, there are practices and ancestral knowledge that is mostly in the memory of grandparents and little by little the transmission to new generations is being lost, and on the other hand, in schools reflection is absent on these knowledge and contributes to non-valuation and this we slowly lose this wisdom that has served for a good life in our towns and should continue to contribute to humanity. In the educational institution, ancestral wisdom is going unnoticed since classroom teachers do not interact with the children in their mother tongue, and ancestral knowledge is not reflected on, even though the educational center is rural and is an institution of revitalization. Intercultural education seeks to include the knowledge of our original cultures and the knowledge of the value of nettle is knowledge of the community that is being lost, which is why we are interested in carrying out a bibliographic review and in this way making ancestral knowledge visible in education.
